What did we do?

Wicked People worked with the Chief People Officer and her deputies to comprehensively review the two functional domains within the People and Culture Directorate. Our worked involved reviewing the current culture, ways of working and operating structure to support the next shift in strategic and operational coherence. The expected outcome was an overarching directoriate operating & communication model with a supporting transformation plan.

How did we do it?

Using Wicked People's bespoke Design Methodology, we adopted a three-phase approach to the design work: Mapping, Modelling, Making. We carried out 121/group workshops with all staff (115) and leadership deep dives that were a central tenet of our inquiry work. The information obtained via the various input channels was translated into a comprehensive transformation plan that was time-phased over the next 18 months.

Improvements in colleague engagement of 15% in the first six months with the Health and Wellbeing Service.

A complete redesign of the Operating and Communications Model of: The people and Culture Directorate, OD & OH and People & Systems functions within the Trust.

Harmonised ways of working with the People and Systems function of the trust. Streamlined Talent, recruitment and Workforce Planning.
